Holistic pregnancy support

When you find out you are pregnant you always experience both feelings; thrill and fear. Thrill – because something that (hopefully) you wanted has actually happened, and fear – because even though you probably have a family member or friend that knows the process and has already experienced it, you yourself don’t know it, yet. It is absolutely normal to be afraid of the unknown, especially when it includes some physical changes that you have to adjust to, the sensation of a child growing inside of you and all the emotions that come with it, including fear.

While you struggle with all these changes please keep in mind that pregnancy is not an illness, it is actually a very natural thing, and if it is handled correctly, it can include a lot of joy which will then replace the fear.

You should and will have a regular gynecologist to make ultrasounds during all the pregnancy phases. Those will make sure that your baby meets the expected results and parameters, but usually the doctors don’t have the time to answer all of your questions and take care of the fear factor. Also, you probably wouldn’t even consider to bother them with all the things that cross your mind regarding your pregnancy and your baby. Those thoughts and fears should get acknowledged, though, because they will remain with you and may interrupt your possibility to enjoy this otherwise beautiful process.

In order to help your body adjust you have to give it what it needs so that you and your baby will have the right nutrition, vitamins, physical activities and emotional support. This will help you be a healthy and happy mother-to-be while only gaining the weight that your body needs for this process without any undesired extras, allowing you, in time, to get back to your natural figure.

I have extensive experience in supporting and accompanying women during pregnancy, giving the right advice (correct conduct, nutrition and emotional support), answering all the questions, helping women accept the pregnancy better and create in advance a good connection between the mother-to-be and the baby that’s growing inside of her. In my experience establishing this beautiful connection and bond between mother and baby, which in many cases doesn’t happen naturally due to a variety of reasons, may help in preventing postpartum depression. I do it all alongside the conventional health system and the regular gynecologist so it does not replace it but gives the mother and baby the added value of alternative knowledge, holistic approach and emotional support throughout.
